In Spite Of Little Snow We Found Great Sledding!!!

[Sleddin'!]

Nine sledders searched everywhere for fresh snow and smooth trails all weekend!! We quickly decided that we'd have to put in each day at Bill's house because the trails in & out of Corny were mud! Bill and John sure know their way around the Chequamegon Forest and they led us to great riding each day, while the Weekend Warriors (with their 800cc units depreciating rapidly on their trailers) just got steamed and blitzed. As always, safety was utmost for our gang, and not a scratch or bruise was noted (save, perhaps, for a few bruised egos)!!.

Laurie Perkins and her crew, led by Terry, from the Village Inn (A Gracious Country Inn—except for the BJ week) took care of us so well again this year. And Susan Keachie-Gram opened up Lazy Susan's for us all week-end, including a beautifully catered dinner by Kit!! Susan's lodge is absolutely breath-taking and enluring, even though we aren't able to ride our sleds to her lodge!!

Thanks, Laurie, Susan, Kit and Terry for making our trip such fun!!!

The sledders to partake in 2002 (and their # of trips) were: John Pearson (28), Roy Bewick (27), Dave Hagen (25), Paul Bewick (22), Bill Schroeder (20), Tom Elmquist (20), Jim Alford (14), Tom Orne (11) and Don Larson (8). A big thanks to Wayne Girard for taking time off of school to join us for the wrap up & HBR's this year! We'll search for some 'new blood' next year to keep the gang going.

The 29th Is Already Planned for Tue-Sat Feb. 4-8, 2003!!

As years go on, we get lazier and more engrossed in joking, boozing and dining!! Too engrossed to take any trail photos, for sure! So our photo for posterity for this year shows us involved in our real top priority…Fellowship!!! In the photo, taken at Lazy Susan's, we feature our lovely hostess and her ever-present house cat.
